The Outer Ply of NordPly MDO is a defect-free veneer (No Patches or Splices) which is sanded smooth on both sides before the MDO overlay is applied. This 2-step process gives NordPly MDO an extremely smooth surface and virtually eliminates telegraphing of grain, which is found in standard Douglas Fir panels.
